Happy Halloween! Yes, we are 31 days closer to the birth of Jesus Christ. Wow, how time flies when you’re having fun. The weather will start getting cooler, and the trees will start turning the magnificent colors of fall. Thoughts begin to turn to family gatherings for Thanksgiving and the Christmas holidays.

This Sunday, Oct. 4, is Worldwide Communion Sunday, and Christians all over the world will share in partaking of communion.

We are sorry to see that the internship with Libby Rivera has come to an end, but we wish her the best as she seeks her true path.

On Sunday, Oct. 4th, we will begin a Sunday night Bible Study with both Franklin College students and members of our congregation. This week it will begin at 5:30 with a meal at Rev. Bartley’s home. Hopefully this will be a way for our membership to interact with the students on a one-to-one basis.

The Harvest Walk is also on Oct 4th and we will again be passing out water in front of the chapel.

We will begin collecting funds for One Great Hour of Sharing in the month of October.

We continue to have Franklin College students in worship each week. Their smiling faces and energetic attitude are infectious with our members. Please come and join us in worship each week in Richardson Chapel on the campus of Franklin College at 10:00 a.m. If you are unable to attend, then join us on Zoom. The camous has come alive with all of the activities on campus, and we rejoice in knowing God’s hand is at work here and on every campus at this time.
