April showers bring May flowers, but April also brought the cooler temperatures of March. May first is the day our pastor, Rev.Tom Bartley, begins his ministry as the Chaplain and leader of Religious Life at Franklin College. It is also the month when we begin preparing for students to complete finals, graduate, and move back home. Meaning, the campus will be quieter for a few months until we can expect their return, and the hustle and bustle starts again for another school year.
May third is Mother’s Day, and we want to remember our departed mothers and celebrate those living amongst us as they should be daily, not just once a year.
With Rev. Bartley’s new position, we hope to increase our presence and partnership with Franklin College. We worship each week in Richardson Chapel on the campus of Franklin College at 10:00 a.m., and all are welcome to join us.
We also continue to stream our service each week on Zoom and would like to encourage you to join us there, especially if you are unable to worship with us in person. If you would like the link to the service, feel free to email us at the church office, franklinfbcoffice@gmail.com, with your information, and you will be added to the invite list.
We look forward to these new changes as we continue to grow in our faith each day. We look forward to new ways to show God’s love here in our community and around the world, through the doors he opens for us each day.
