Wow! September has come and gone, and we are now entering October. With that, we look forward to the Harvest Walk, formerly the Crop Walk, on Sunday, Oct. 5th, serving breakfast at the Habitat for Humanity build on Oct. 23rd, and Consecration Sunday, on Oct. 26th. Both are important as we can help our community in the first one, and then we make our tithe pledge for 2026 on the second date. This year is flying by, so our Special Business meeting on Oct 5th is so important to our church, as the Pastoral Search Committee has a candidate for pastor to present to our congregation. If you are unable to attend, please pray for our church and that we will be moving forward with a new pastor.
We continually see the changes that come with the Fall season and the way God’s creations appear to us. Even though it feels like summer, temperature-wise, the leaves on the trees are not only changing colors, but also falling to the ground. Schools are looking forward to Fall Break, and we continue to minister to our congregation, Franklin College, and our community.
With the dates above, you can see that we are a busy congregation. We may be small in number, but we are not small on spreading God’s word anyway we can.
We continue to stream our service each week on Zoom, and would like to encourage you to join us there, should you not be able to worship with us in person. If you would like the link to the service, feel free to email us at the church office, franklinfbcoffice@gmail.com, with your information, and you will be added to the invite list.
We also encourage you to pray for our congregation and our ministry as we continue in our transition journey. We continue to strive to lift each other up in an attempt to strengthen us in our daily walk with God.
