“April showers bring May flowers.” How many times have you heard that said before? It’s true, but it is also true that April brings Easter this year. It is later than usual, but it still means the importance of our church calendar. We look forward to Easter because it is the time we celebrate our risen Savior. Yes, Spring is here, the days are longer, the flowers are blooming, and the trees are budding. This all means a new birth and is exactly the meaning of Easter. Enjoy the great environment and celebrate the new beginnings as we also celebrate Christ rising from the grave.
This month we are still collecting for America for Christ, and our goal is $500. We are over half way there so let’s work to surpass it this year.
We will again join Grace United Methodist Church in their Sunrise Service on Easter morning. The service will be held at 7:00 a.m. with breakfast to follow.
We are continuing our journey in the transition process and are looking to God for guidance as we continue our efforts to look for a new pastor. Rev. Bartley continues to bring us very pertinent messages each week, to guide us in the direction God has laid out for him. We ask that you continue to pray for our congregation and our Pastoral Search Committee, during this timeof transition.
Our Bible Study continues to be on hiatus, as we are looking at better ways to minister each week to ur congregation.
We continue to worship in person at Richardson Chapel, on the campus of Franklin College, and on ZOOM, each Sunday at 10 a.m. If you can’t join us and want to be with us by ZOOM, please email Mark Friend, our church Moderator, at the church’s email address, franklinfbcoffice@gmail.com, and the invitation link will be sent to you. We invite you to join us every Sunday as we praise God and worship together.
We are looking forward, not backward, as we move ahead in our efforts to minister to Franklin, Johnson County, and the world. As always, we need your support and prayers to strengthen us in this journey.
